i saw a spider, i didn't scream-- i ran.
I love to visit Baguio. I go there with my husband once a year or every year since 2002 (but skipped 2009 to now). Baguio is a small place actually and really nothing much to see, but I think we go there because of the 4 Hours Bus ride, the stop overs (about 3 stops), the snacks we eat when we’re in the bus (from chips, quail eggs to puddings), the thrill of arriving about 3 am in the morning and we have to sit in Parks, Snack houses, or doze off at lobby of the hotel we booked until 8 am to 9 am because our room is not ready, the laughs, the chats, the thrill of eating something in the wee hours of the morning fresh from the wet market, the crappy pictures when I didn’t get enough sleep, the local resto we find somewhere in the middle of a small street where locals eat, the Resto we always eat before we leave for Manila, the cheap prices and mostly the togetherness I get to enjoy with him. I wish this year when my kid turns one and if she can already walk, we can go during the holiday, I can show her the place we love to go to get away from it all even just for a couple of days.
Love, Anna SCB
